Hi there, my 20 year old brother had his medical examination today. He admitted to having marijuana once in his life 2 years ago. He hasn't tried any other type of drug. When asked if he had cocaine, meth, etc., he firmly stated the truth, that he had not. His test will come back clear. Now, our worry is if his answer will be a problem during the interview next week. Will his visa process be delayed for a year? He'll be turning 21 in October, and we need answers :( Any help or experiences are appreciated. Thanks!!!

We can;t give you an exact answer; it may factor i that he was a minor. But yes, generally, going by other experiences on here, it means a delay for a year.

Brother is currently 20, 2 years ago trying marijuana would have made him 18. Curious question, does that make him a minor? Would the age of the usage matter?

I don't know, I'm just interested.

good luck
