I didn't see this topic yet so I thought I'd start one! :). My husband and I just sent in my packet this morning to the Chicago lockbox. I'm adjusting my status from a K-1 visa.

Another miracle! Case update just came through stating his I-485 is approved ??? No interview.

10/28/2015: Medical Exam
11/17/2015: Interview...rescheduled due to computer problems. New date as yet unknown.
11/18/2015: Called in for interview and APPROVED!

11/24/2015: Picked up visa/passport and sealed packet from the Consulate! <happy dance>

02/14/2016: Arrived in the U.S. (POE was Bermuda)...CO was really nice!

02/18/2016: Married! :)

Hey there fellow March AOSers!

We received a text message last night that our package was received and also received a case number beginning with MSC. I'm looking forward to this new "visa journey" with all of you other March filers. We were married in July so I guess you can say we've procrastinated a bit but now my husband has fully adjusted to life here, our son is off to daycare now and my husband is ready to work so we can expand our family...and maybe squeeze a vacation in back to DR this Fall? :)

I hope everything runs smoothly, nothing can be as stressful as that K-1 process!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

i sent mine on 24 FEB , delivered on 27 Feb , i will update as soon as i get notice

I have the exact timeline as u do. Received the sms and email last night. Now waiting for hard copy and biometric. Will be keeping an eye on your timeline.

We have the I-693 because his DS-2035 was really dark; quite frankly I didn't want to get an RFE for an unreadable document; a certified marriage license, a completely translated copy of his birth certificate(done by myself). Translated the stamps even.

Also have a copy of our apt rental agreement, signature cards of our joint accounts, and proof that his name is on my health and dental insurances...which apparently I didn't need to include but there are so many VJ'ers that say that they sent this stuff...Oh well ^_^ We have them so why not send them!

3 tax returns, 6 mo of paycheck stubs, employment letter

How did you guys package it? How did you separate the Visa Adjustment form from the AP and the Employment Authorization?

Hey Everyone!

Just sent off my AOS package on Monday (Feb 29), so thought I'd hop on this thread. Got married Feb 11, and have spent that last few weeks getting all the documents together for the AOS package. Waiting for USCIS to receive my package, hopefully sometime before the end of the week. Nice to have a group to follow along with on this next leg of the journey!!

Hey Everyone,

Good to be back on VJ for yet an other journey. K1 journey was a very very long one since i was one of the unlucky one's who was part of Texas Service Center.. but again finally things went well and i am here happily married and filed AOS. will keep posted on the proceedings...Good to be here..? Wish everyone all the best and have a smooth journey in this whole process ??
