We just got approved and we are about to schedule my interview and medical.. Will there be a problem or delay if I got pregnant? Im worried that I might not allowed to take medical test like xray if I got pregnant.. Will it be a cause of delay?

You can complete the medical if you are pregnant. St. Luke's will not administer any vaccinations which are contradicted for pregnancy.

Doctors who conduct medical exams for immigration purposes see various cases so they will know what to do and will accommodate your condition. They would not endanger your baby and you by forcing to do an X-Ray. I am not sure what the procedure is but being pregnant will not cause a delay.

Many women have had to do the X-ray pregnant

What if I dont want to do chest xray? We have yearly medical at my work and they dont want you to take xray even if you only suspect that you're pregnant. So I guess its not good for the baby

Thank you Tahoma and Dohan for your reply..

No x-ray = no medical approval = no visa.

The x-ray technician will shield you.

Correct. You will wear a lead apron to shield your baby. That way, they can still x-ray your chest.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Depends on the clinic or culture of the country I guess. In Sweden the clinic will give you a waiver for the x-ray if you're pregnant & the us embassy accepts it, so check with the clinic where you'll be doing your medical.

Nope won't cause a delay at all. SLEC will follow proper protocol because you are pregnant.

My wife was 4 months pregnant at the medical exam. She did get the x-ray but no vacines. She did that after she gave birth in the US. They gave the option to do a sputum test however that takes much longer. Good luck to you with the medical and interview :)
