KI Affidavit of Support Based on Assets

Is anyone on here applying for a K1 and not meeting poverty lines? I've been out of the US staying with my Fiance most of 2015, I've worked part time online most of the year, and recently been able to do a full time job online as well while I stay with my Fiance. My W2 will not meet the poverty line guidelines and probably miss it by 7K. My question is how often do embassy officials grant a petition based on liquid assets. I have an ok amount in my savings account (about 23K about the same amount since 12/2014) can corroborate with bank statements, own a lot valued at 5K, and own a house that's valued at 130K with a mortgage of 96K. All can be verify with evidence for my interview. I'm getting very nervous that they won't accept these as collateral.

Anyone with experience in this matter, I would greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Liquid assets are things that can be easily turned into cash. Primary residences do not count. You will need to look at the 125% poverty level and see how far away from it you are.

You will need 5x that amount in assets.

So if you are 7K short of the 125% poverty level for your household size, you will need 35K in liquid assets or get a co-sponsor. The co-sponsor must be able to meet 125% of the poverty line for their household size plus one (your fiance) on their own- meaning they cannot combine incomes with you to meet the poverty line.
