Moving house before interview....

Hello Hope everyone is well!

I'm just looking for some advice, I am hoping to book my medical soon for a few weeks time, my aunt has very kindly offered to let me move in with her for a month or so before I leave the UK to enable me to save more money and be closer to family.

I have to give a months notice on my current flat and wish to get my medical done whilst at my current place, If I move to my aunts before my interview will this cause a problem with filling out a different address for the courier for my passport? Will anything be said in my interview about the address change?

Who should I inform about moving?

You can pick anywhere for the courier to deliver...your place, a relative, work, a pub. You just have to be there to receive it or leave ID if another will receive it. That is strictly between you and the courier.

If your DS-160 has your current address, the embassy will send your interview notice there. That's the only problem of moving. You may not get the notice. They do not forward that, if not deliverable because you are no longer there.

You can give the embassy a change of address via the online contact form https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/iv_contact_form/

I moved in between getting my interview letter and the interview, the man who took my documents asked if any details on the DS160 had changed but wasn't bothered about my address being different.

I put the new address on the courier form when I paid for the visa as I knew I'd be here by then :)
