Bringing taxes up to date - accountant referral in Melbourne?

Hi all,

I'm a USC living in Australia as a permanent resident for almost 10 years. I'm going to be moving back to the US with my wife & family, and am about to embark on the visa process starting with the I-130.

I'm aware that I will need to re-establish domicile and also bring my taxes up to date (I was not aware that I was meant to be filing them in the US).

Just wondering if anyone knows a good accountant in Melbourne for expat tax returns who's reliable and has reasonable fees? I know it won't be cheap, but I don't want to be fleeced either.

Thanks in advance!

Josh

After a quick google search there seems to be a few out there that could help you. It would be a matter of calling/emailing them to find out prices and information of what you could be penalised for.

Here's a few google links that you may want to look over. Good Luck
