Help!! if my husband is renewing his green card can he petition to bring his son?

My husband entered on a K-1 visa when we applied for the visa his baby mother acted all childish and did not want me to include the child.. now she wants us to take custody of the child.. I want to know if when we renew my husband green card can we included the child? his underage and the mother has given up the rights to the child. can someone help'

no, of course not, you have to file a petition for him

since he wasn't included in the K1 petition, as a K2, he cannot follow to joint within a year of your husband coming

and if it has passed over a year, then the same

you can petition for your stepchild, it will be faster, over a year, compared to 2 years if your husband files for his child

how am I able to petition for him? When we were interviewed we did inform he had his son just that the mother didnt agree with us taking him at the time.. I am willing and able to petition him my self as well as getting the mother consent.. how can i do this? help
