Hello,

has anyone experienced being on AP after an interview in Algeria. If yes, for how long? i was given a 221(g) paper after the interview. CO stated that everything is good and marked OK on my papers, but then told me that computer "chose" my case to be on AP. She didn't ask for my passport, but stated i can leave it or take it with me, but i can come for it anytime if I need it. should i be worried? this is ir1 visa

CO stated that it might take 3-4 weeks, but gave no indication of why i was put on AP. She end up taking my passport, but stated i can come and get it anytime if i need it. should i be worried?

Sounds like you're getting an extra security check. You shouldn't be worried as long as you have a clean record, but the process could take anywhere up to a few extra months to complete due to the amount of security checks (on other people) the adjudicators have to do.

From your country ppl go into AP often, since told to leave or take PP its very likely

to be approved unless they find some negative as to why the computer pulled your

name, it can take that time CO said also more or less time. If theres nothing to worry

about then you are fine.
