Why do we have popping up porn here?

I truly respect this website for its usefulness and great policies. But since recently I have been having a lot of trouble with popping up ads - music download offers, investment offers, what not.... The most offensive for me turned to be popping on porn websites. I don't even click on anything - they just open when I open the webpage. Can something be done about that?

AoS and IV package received: 2015-09-23

Now let's get some patience for 3 weeks and hope CC will come without any delays :luv:

Interview date issued: 2015-10-23

Received by the embassy: 2015-11-12

Interview date: 2015-12-02 (Request to reschedule for the earlier time denied.)

Approved!!!

Visa issued: 2015-12-07

Visa in hand: 2015-12-07

US entry: 2015-12-11

Social Security card arrived only after the visit to SS office, on 01/20

Green Card arrived: 2016-01-27

From NOA-1 to the interview - 141 days (4 months and 18 days)

It is looking at your browser history to show things that "appeal" to you based on what you have been looking at. I think your problem starts at home. Maybe a good cleaning of your history is in order. I have never had an offer for such things but then again at my age I don't look for such ever.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

The ads arent always related to search history. I've never searched out Asian dating sites but when I don't have an ad blocker it shows up on here. I'm the only person who uses my computer.

Ad blockers are a wonder though. I suggest using them.

Ad blockers are a wonder though. I suggest using them.

But this site itself uses the words dating an Asian and various Asian countries with great frequency. I think it is setting it's own mislead preferences.

This ⬆️ Ads are based on websites or searches visited. This is how they market to customers now. If you look for a specific product on say Amazon, You will notice this same item in those ads. Someone is searching porn on your computer or device, either directly or you have a virus.

What some of you were saying, guys, was offensive and insuliting. Me liking porn and searching for it? Whenever it pops up, I close it in disgust.

My question was how to stop pop up ads. I can use ad blockers, OK. But honestly, I have never had so much trouble with popping up ads as on VJ! Why do they even pop up here? We are not a dating website, it's a respectful internet resource, which has to be maintained properly, I guess.

I never had that happen here either.

Try clearing your browser history and cookies. Then install AdBlock software in your browser. And avoid porn sites in the future. :idea:
