Hi All;

I am new to this FORUM so please forgive me in advance if there are any mistakes :)

Can I please get some help in writing my waiver statement? Just maybe a sample statement that is being used? I overstayed my visa, so that is the only factor... help please.

Thanks

Its not a form you fill in with only a statement, the person that's waivering you needs to

provide a statement on why you should be allowed back, hardships on them without you

and why they cant move to your country with you, this applies to U if its a mate or family

member. The package have to be accompanied by a brief

If your package is prepared but you just need directions on how to write a letter on your own

behalf, theres a column for that on I601 form to explain why you are inadmissible & requires a

waiver, you must be honest

A waiver requires a lot of research, evidence, and time. You need to provide arguments as to why you should be allowed to come back.

11/06: Husband EWI from Mexico
11/08: Started dating

11/11: Husband got deported
1/11/14: Got married
3/13/14-11/2/14:
I-130
1/26/15-3/17/15: NVC

5/28/15: INTERVIEW - denied

6/8/15: I-601/I-212 waivers received

11/17/15: I-601/I-212 waivers APPROVED

12/11/15: HUBBY HOME!!

An efficient waiver requires more than just a simple statement. My waiver brief was 10 pages long followed by 27 exhibits.

10 pages LONG, wow that is incredible. I hope you were successful.

Ok, thanks for your advise.

Thank you, the package is already prepared so I just need to write a letter. So, I really just needed someone to maybe walk me thru their main points for their letter or something, so I can sort of have a guideline to work with. This will help in creating an effective letter as oppose to an emotional one. I realize I have to be honest, but I also have to be rational.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you. Still waiting for a decision.

Oh you are talking about your own letter to include in the packet! Ok I can tell you about mine. I went through all the exhibits and put my personal comment (in the letter body as so to address all the points made in the brief) as to why these are important and relevant to the situation. I explained all the things I have here that I would lose...career, financial, medical, close relationships etc. Then I explained everything I have been going through since this happened, how it affects my life, health, and relationships. I explained what my fiance means to me, how he has contributed to my life and the lives of my children. I didn't go on and on but it was about 3-4 pages, I think.

OP for a simple over-stay, you explain the circumstances that caused your overstay

and mention that in the future all rules will be adhered to. Laurel Scott (atty) always

advise that for a simple overstay letter the person should never apologize as it coms

off as a lie to adjudicator, your letter does not need to be more than a page, and your

atty will address overstay in brief also he should go over your letter...good luck

I am sure everything will work out in your favor. I wish you all the best.

I see, thank you so much.
