AOS from Canadian TN,F1 & visitors

My mother sponsored me back in 2009 and due to the new AOS rules we are currently eligible for AOS. I am already in the USA on a TN visa, I have two children going to college, both on F-1 student visas and then two other students who came in as visitors but they are also going to school. All my children are included in my file for immigration. To my understanding AOS can be done if entry into the USA was legal. Myself and my two college children are here on legal visas but my other children are technically "visitors" or tourists.

My questions are:

1) is it possible for us to adjust status as we are now? Main applicant on a TN, two children on f1 and two other children on visit visas?

2) if not, will this be possible if I add them to as TD (dependents)?

3) if no to q1 and yes to q2, do I have to go to the border to make this change or can I do it in St.louis where I am living

One is 19 one is 20. The other two are not in college they are 13 and 6 going to regular elementary school

You have to be in status to adjust status which seems to rule out the 2 younger children.

If you can get the two younger children to become dependents on your TN visa then that wouldn't that mean they're in status? According to this link, it looks like you can obtain this directly at the border or by filing an I-539:
