I'm going back to Canada with the family this weekend. Haven't been home in almost two years and we have a 15mos old My mother hasn't met yet.

Anyway, I've filed for aos- permanent res. When I cross into Canada they're going to ask for my USA status, what do I tell them?

All I have is my AP. And a letter saying I might be eligible for a interview waiver and I'll hear from them in 6mos. I'll be bringing that letter with me. Just show Canadian customs that?

Thanks

When crossing into Canada you just show you Canadian passport. The US adjustment will have no bearing for them. Even after AOS you are still a full Canadian Citizen. My wife is Canadian and we went up with the AP card. Going up we just showed both passports and offered a marrige certificate. He didnt need to see it just asked the normal questions about where we where going and what we are taking. When we pulled up to the fish box coming back I handed my US passport and then her passport and AP card. Only question they asked was what she entered the country on. We where confused on the right answer, he said just say K1 visa. She did and that was about it. We have gone through Detriot bridge about 5 times already :)
