IR-1 August Filers (CSC) - Has anyone had their case received by NVC? (I-130)

My I-130 was approved on September 15, 2015.

I've called the NVC several times and each time they say they haven't received it yet and that it can take around 30 - 33 days. It's been 16 days so I know I still have time to wait but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had theirs received yet and/or received their case #. I'm looking for information from people who have similar timelines as I do and had your petition approved by CSC. I'm aware it's soon but I would appreciate the information. :)

Thanks! :D

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hopefully people would updated their timelines and you could see/subscribe to similar timelines feature and leverage from VJ already.

15 days is pretty optimistic for NVC, the fact that you've persisted and got through to them multiple times in that short of time is impressive albeit pretty aggressive. (particularly when they say to wait min 30 days ;)) My impression is lots happens with shuffling stuff at NVC and things dont get updated until retroactively. And the people manning the phones dont have the realtime stuff, they have the retroactive updates. Suggest relaxing instead of enabling the stress of continuing to hit them up early. just my $0.02 USD

Our case was approved September 8th. NVC received it September 21st. We still don't have case #. I call every day and I am given different time frame each time I call, anywhere from 10 days to 42 days, 4 weeks ... from receiving the case from USCIS (21st).

Does anyone know how to expedite the NVC process once case # is assigned?

It's actually not stressful for me to call so "aggressively" haha One day, my phone had a low battery and hung up the call while I was on hold and I called 5 times in a row and was able to get back on hold :D lol I can be a very determined person, especially if it involves my husband! I know they said 30 days but maybe something magical will happen and it will only take 29 days instead of 30...I won't know unless I call! BUT I've decided to give them MAYBE a week or two and then I'll call again. Then when 30 - 33 days hits, I will call more!

When I was waiting for my petition to be approved, I decided not to look at the USCIS mycase website so I wouldn't obsess about it. I expected 3-5 months but just decided I'd check it out and it had been approved 3 days earlier (only 22 day wait)! Now I'm just bored so I just call because I already put the AOS/IV packages together. It makes me feel like I'm not just sitting around doing nothing.?^_^ I noticed that some people are getting a notice on the USCIS mycase that the USCIS sent their petition to NVC so maybe that will happen for me. I have no idea how common it is though.

I'm sure people will update when they receive theirs but I didn't like the lack of information I was finding about people who got their NOA2/approvals at the same time as me. Compared to other months, August filers didn't seem as aggressive. All I found were people who didn't even have their NOA1 around the first week of August. That doesn't count to me since I sent mine on August 18th and USCIS set my NOA1 by email on August 24. Maybe they've gotten them by now and just didn't remember to update their timeline? Who knows! Lol I wanted to know if anyone had their stuff sent to NVC yet.

Thanks for your 2 cents!

It probably will be 42 days like they said. So go with that amount of time. If you think a month, you will probably get disappointed or discouraged very fast. If it does happen quicker, that's great! Like Heo said, there could be a lot of "shuffling" at these places. According to Visajourney, the short wait time is 3-4 weeks from the time they receive it but I think that's during a good year. Unfortunately, 2015 is NOT that year lol

Also, I'd call them and ask how to expedite properly.

I called NVC 20 minutes ago....
They received my case TODAY.

They also gave me my case # and invoice #.
They said I need to wait approx. 28 days for them to send me

the "welcome packet" and that's when I can start doing the DS-261
and pay the AOS/IV fees and what not.

You don't have to wait 28 days, it will happen a lot faster. Go ahead and sign in on NVC website. I had IV and AOS fees invoiced next day after I received case# and ID # and paid them immediately. I have an attorney so I didn't have to choose an agent, you may have to ...

Oooo...yeah I noticed some people immediately did "chose an agent". I'll check later today. :) I see on the CEAC site it says "start application" but I didn't click because I don't want to mess something up by being impatient.

xD

I would not wait, if it's giving you the option go right ahead and complete it. Every payment or completion of a form takes them some time afterwards to process it. It took them 5 days after I made the IV and AOS payments to change it to paid and another 2 days to let me complete the IV application.

Well the dude on the phone wouldn't even take my emails,

he said I needed to wait for the welcome packet before I could choose my agent.

I'm gonna call today and see what someone else says too haha
