I-864, proof of income with retired sponsor

Hello all, I am putting together the i-864 package and I had a question. My father, who is retired, is acting as a joint sponsor for my wife. My question is since he is retired and his income is derived through pensions and social security, what should I provide as proof of income? Are the SSA-1099 and 1099-R enough proof, or do I need something else? Any advice would be great.

Just in case, since they want proof of "current" income and tax forms are technically last year's, you might send a current bank statement showing the deposit of his checks.

The number on the form under "current individual annual income" should be the total amount he expects to receive in pension and social security checks this year, and you need to prove that number.
