finally I received my visa package.. but unfortunately it has a ripped off the side, I know the triangle cut is normal but it has ripped of on the side about half inches, I open the plastic to get my passport and sealed it again.. I'm bit worried because of the warning that say in the package, i think tru handling of delivery from embassy to 2go to my home adress it is possible that it will ripped off because if the thickness of documents.. as per embassy they told me to sent it back but i know it will delay us, but as for my fiance he told me to go as what we plan. because he say that i dont intent to open it and i recieved that way.. and IO know the difference between attempt and accidentally ripped off.. anyone experience this on getting on POE with ripped visa package? what happened? hope for some advice and enlightenment.. I'm so panick..

There are hundred's of threads here in VJ that outline the same occurrence so you are not alone. Having said that you have three choices, you can do as the Embassy has instructed, you can visit the Embassy where they will repair it or you can go onto your POE where the experts will examine your package, and since they are well trained, will know if your package has been tampered with, which yours has not. This is not going to prevent you from entering the US so take a deep breath and relax.

Book your flight and welcome to These United States.

Either stop in and get it taped, or just head over here to the states. They will see the tear is small and obviously papers were not passed through that little hole...which is the point of it being sealed.

If you haven't contacted the embassy and tear is not big enough to see what inside of it, then I say you should be fine.

I have contacted the embassy and they tell me its my discretion if I'm going to send it back or go with my ripped visa package..

if you look at it you cant see or even put your hand inside of the ripped..

Really nothing to worry about if it's not big enough to take papers in and out of. Safe travels!

No worries if the tear is small like that. Wrap the envelope tightly in the plastic bag, tape the plastic bag, put it in your carry-on bag for the flight and just leave it be. The tear is too small to remove any documents.

 YW. Keep the little ones busy on your flight. It's going to seem like forever to get to USA and it's like you are in that hot spot way below your feet with the little ones. :diablo: Know what I mean.
