20 year age gap here.

Just make sure both attend the interview and being somewhat affectionate or acting as a team and being in high spirits helps.

I was giggling while she was saying the "oath" or whatever it was, and answering the questions in her "Englishing" style. The person saw it and knew we were real. Same went during her AOS interview. lol.

Just found out my NOA2 approved Oct 25, 2013 is still good. Was automatically extended by the embassy until one year of the last date of notification which is Dec 3, 2013. It's a race now.

We just had our interview last Nov. 24 and got approved. The age gap was never brought up and neither the length of time that we have been seeing each other. so to all those who are on the same boat, it is highly recommended to have your fiance at the interview. It'll help you calm down and be confident on the interview. Thank you to all those who helped. Godbless you all.

One question though, our visa status says it's READY (for interview) and it got updated on Nov. 25, and no changes til now. This is normal right? No additional documents was asked. Thank you☺

We had our interview one day before you, Nov. 23. We just got our status updated to "Issued" yesterday, Nov. 27. That was faster than I was expecting, especially given the back-up from being closed during APEC and Thanksgiving. You likely will get "Issued" next week. Good luck. Have you done or scheduled your CFO? I'll be at the Manila airport bringing my fiance to the U.S. later this month. Maybe we'll cross paths. Look for Santa Claus (white hair and beard, and too much of a belly) with a 30+ Filipina school teacher.

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

Congrats!! :joy:

Yes that is normal to sit in READY status with just the date changing.

You'll sit in ready for 1-3 days normally and then you'll see issued which means your visa has left the BIG house to your house. Then you can start checking 2go for updated status.

Safe travels.

Our age gap much greater than 27 years and for a CR1 application our birthdays NEVER came up for discussion.

First meeting to marriage was approx. 6 months. Again not a topic for discussion.

My advice at interview... Answer questions truthfully and don't initiate a prolonged discussion. A lot of applicants feel it is rude to only answer the question without more elaboration but a much safer and quicker way to shorten the interview.

I'll probably get negative response for this, but me thinks/perceive that some folks like to brag about how big their age gaps are as if its some type of accomplishment, then cover it up with its just a number.

Wife was 18 and I was 41, 23 years difference. It wasn't enough so next time I'm shooting for 40 years difference!

Congrat's.. Age gap was never brought up with ours as well. I did attend the interview and they interviewed us seperately, asked me some questions about my divorce and real estate. All is good!
