Cannot get proof of Hep A/Might not have got it?

I'm concerned, my medical is on the 8th and the only thing we (Ontario Public Health) and my doctor can't find is proof of my Hep A. I'm almost certain I got my Hep A when I went to Mexico in 1997/8....

The thing is the office that would have the info is closed until the 8th :/

If they have it on record, would they be able to fax it to Dr. Lyndon in Toronto and if they don't, is it something that will get me denied a visa, even if I get it after the medical and show proof at the Immigration Interview? Public health told me that they're puzzled why Hep A is even needed as it's more for third world countries and travel outside the US and Canada.

I mean I'm pretty sure Cuba requires Hep A and B and when I went in 2010 I had to show them my vaccination card and they didn't detain me or deny me entry....so....I'm very confused.

Any insight would be great.

07/05/2015 - Happy Two Year Anniversary!
08/27/2015 - Interview Confirmed on September 25, 2015 at 8am! WE'RE GOING TO MONTREAL! Fingers crossed!! (one day before my birthday!)
09/08/2015 - Medical Done in Toronto with Dr. Lyndon (Highly recommend! Easy to get too via the subway). All clear there! Waiting for it to come in the Mail
09/25/2015 - Visa APPROVED!

Total Time Taken (Till Interview): 1 Year 10 Months

Point of Entry/Green Card Delivery

09/26/2015 - Back home from Montreal, waiting for LOOMIS delivery to pick up VISA
09/30/2015 - Visa Arrived in London, ON for pick up; Visa in hand!
10/01/2015 - Flight Booked! Moving date is October 7th!
10/07/2015 - POE @ YYZ (Toronto Pearson International). Waiting on Greencard delivery

 

2019 UPDATE : Going Home to Canada. Process for their application took 4 months. Smell ya later USA. Won't miss ya.

Furthermore I should ad I have no time to get a immunity test done.....they gave me all this so quickly that I'm surprised I was able to update my vaccines today (I was missing a few). So will that be a problem or could I provide a blood test later? Or will he just refer me to get blood work done? I'm assuming they DO blood work and will test for immunity anyways?

Seems like questions you should ask the medical examiner.

Don't they give you the shots and do blood work and the medical examiners office? Most places do.....I mean it's part of the point of going there. You just take shot records so you don't have to get shots you've gotten in the past.

Doesn't really matter if public health there is confused why you need it, lol. Not their job to know or wonder why.....

I guess, I mean it's just the hep A that's in the air.....minus my chicken pox vaccine but I had the chicken pox so my understanding is I don't need the shot then.

I don't think they give you any shots.....I'm not reading that anywhere...maybe they do? I have no idea.....this whole thing is confusing lol I feel like they throw stuff in there to throw you off on purpose. One site says this long list of vaccines I need, while the visadoctor.ca site lists 4.....this whole process is like a huge trick question :P

Have you tried reading the Montreal embassy reviews in here? There might probably have someone there who had a similar case.

In the embassy in Brazil, what would have happened if one of your vaccinations is missing is that you would do your interview normally, but the embassy would wait for the doctor's response (that could be later than the interview) in order to issue your visa.

So the doctor could wait for your previous record, or for your immunity test result to come out, or could make you take it again(?)

But I wouldn't worry about getting your visa denied because of it - it might just be delayed a little bit.

Tell them you've had chicken pox and they'll mark you as good.
