I'll be travelling to Manila on September 9 and we'll be arriving at around 5:00 AM. I'll be with my kids and mum and will be staying with my aunt before we check in.

1. Our hotel check in is at 1:00 PM. Is it advisable that I could proceed with my medical after check in? Do you think that's the way to go so that I don't have to line up in the wee hours of the morning?

2. If in case I did proceed with my medical on the 9th - what will I do on the 10th and 11th assuming I didn't finish on the 9th?

Let us know your thoughts :)

Hi!

You would have to be very early during your first day for the medical exam. If you line up after lunch, there's a great chance that your medical exam may take 4 days than the usual 3 days. There will be a TB skin test done maybe on your first day of medical exam so you would have to go back to SLEC 24-48 hours after that. By then, they'll continue to conduct the other exams and they'll be the one to schedule you when to come back for your vaccine shots which is usually on the 3rd day.

Medical examination at SLEC is 2 days.On your first day,you will undergo xray, physical examination, blood testing. You should be there at 3:30 or 4 coz the que will surely be long at 5 am.I was there at 3:20 but still i was number 10 in line. And you won't undergo TB skin test unless your xray shows something that may result for you to have sputum and TST.And if at the end of your first day, you'll have an immunization interview it only means you pass the medical exam and they'll tell you to be back 2nd day for your immunization at 8 am.But of course if you want to be done it early then just go at 6 or 7 so you'll be the first in line...I did they same. Thanks GOD

We have heard of some who have been able to begin their medical mid day, but you will still need to allow for 2 day exam schedule. You'll have an xray for TB and if you are clear then you are good to go. If they see something they may order a Sputum test but they will re-schedule that for another day. I say if you can get there on the day you arrive, then what the hey.... you might finish your medical early.

P.S. I'm going to be alone during the medical. My kids and mum won't be included.

Will the afternoon schedule for the 9th be alright?

September 10th and 11th - what will happen here? :)

Can't say if the 9th will be okay as you won't find that out till you arrive. Vaccines administered on second day.

You don't have to show up at 3am or 4am gosh why do people do that to their self. You can show up just as they open, I believe it was 7am. My fiance did that and she was in and out with everyone else just didn't wait in line all morning beforehand.

BTW did the same for visa interview which for your information they don't have a number queue and call people up at random.....she was out of there before many people that had waited hours.
