USPS Global Express to Phillipines

Has anyone had any luck sending USPS global express packages to anyone in the phillipines? I have sent a couple of love letters to her in cebu city but that was three weeks ago and i suspect that philpost might have done something? Im not sure, but i want to send a pack with valuables in it, and i think it does avoid philpost and fedex delivers it? Anyways has anyone had any luck with USPS global express?

don't trust sending anything through Philpost..

it will get lost in process or maybe months to arrive.

send it via UPS or fedex, pricey but reliable..

or if you live in a city where there is LBC (that's a courier based in the Philippines that has few branches in USA) it's cheaper and reliable too.

Any mail going to the Philippines has the greatest chance of getting lost, stolen or just plain not delivered. If it were me, I would use another service; DHL, FEDEX or LBC etc.

How do you know Fedex delivers it? What I know of the USPS Global Express is that it gets to Manila really fast and then gets sucked into the dark pit of PhilPost. If you are trying to send documents use email, if you are trying to send valuables then use Fedex, UPS, DHL. Yes, they are pricey but it will get there.

It would behoove you to call USPS and asked that question. I have not heard that mode of transportation USPS to FedEx for international shipping, but I have heard USPS to PhilPost and it's a disaster. You find out something different then get back to us and we will change our answer to this question that has been asked a million times before you asked.

NEVER EVER EVEEEERRR send USPS to Philpost.....

Send UPS, DHL, LBS or FEDEX only.

DHL in the US uses LBC in the PI to make final delivery.

DHL, FEDEX, UPS are all secure and TRACEABLE which to me were very important when transferring docs or goods. I listed them in my perceived order of cost, low to high, but it might depend on where the shipment originates. I found that document envelopes were within $25 of each other. I always chose the least expensiveof the 3 whenever I sent anything and now looking back saving $25 one way or the other didn't put a dent in bringing my family to the US.

I also am going to advise against using USPS. If you get other confirming info from USPS (I would call and ask the same question 3 times) to refute what others advise please let us know.

To add to your information FedEx once in PI it uses 2go for delivery.

It's amazing the amount of money that 2go must be making, just doing the right thing, deliver the unopened package to the recipients. Man, what a business model. Who would have thunk!(sarcasm)

Well I, as am sure many others, stand corrected about USPS / FEDEX interface.

My only other suggestion would be to check on trackability while in transit as well as competitive rates using FEDEX by itself without USPS content.

Try a search here in VJ and read about the good and bad stores about GXG. It usually works fine from here to the Phil, but once it arrives in Phil well you can kiss that package goodbye. Look, it's going to be a gamble, but from my experience, I wouldn't use anything other than FedEx. Period!

You said you are sending valuables this time around right, are you going to use a box or envelope? I looked at the prices and they are about the same if you just go straight Fedex/UPS/DHL. So I would stick with those three and NOT go with USPS. I have had a bad experience with them before about a package I send "Express" and it got to Manila within 2 days, and then it made it to Mindanao and to the receiver 3 weeks later. Sorry I would just spend money on a sure product.

i sent someone (ex lover) shoes and watch couple of yrs ago in the province via fedex, quite expensive but it got there like pretty quick BUT they held it since i had to pay taxes (which by the way almost same price of the gifts, i should have sent money instead).. i kinda dont understand when i already paid taxes through fedex

Ok judging by what everyone said i think its best to go with Fedex, i have sent 8 letters to her in cebu city and she has gotten none so obviously USPS and philpost are not reliable. Thanks for the information guys! SO i will forget the USPS global express
