Hello Everyone,

First, please don't scold me, I know that this has probably many times, and I'm sure that somewhere out on the internet is the exact answer I'm looking for, I just haven't found it yet...

So, where we're at:

Our K1 Visa case is ready for interview in Manila (confirmed via tracking) however we have not received any paperwork from the US Embassy. We are anxious to schedule the visa interview so that we can be together ASAP, but we want to doubly ensure that we do not make any errors during the home stretch. Unfortunately Visajourney does not have a good guide past the I-129F submission as far as I can tell, the guide only says what to send your fiance once we get our NOA2 then the guide skips to what to do after you get the visa already. So it's that stuff in between that I'm curious about.

So what I propose:
Below I will make a checklist of what I "believe" we are supposed to do. Anyone who has been through this experience and is willing, please correct or confirm any wrong points.

1:Regardless of whether we have the package from the embassy, we can go to a BPI location using the packing slip found at http://ustraveldocs.com/ and pay our fee.

2:Using the receipt number we can schedule an interview at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Philippines and the medical by calling St. Lukes.

3:We complete the form DS-160 and submit online.

4:Attend medical and interview

5:Get visa!

Is this really the entirety of the process or are we missing things? We already have all the requirements; such as visa photos, proof of financial support, evidence of continued relationship, etc...

Thank you for your time and help!

Hi so 1-5 is a yes, you can do all those, after you paid the visa fee just make sure to wait 12hrs to let it process so when you try to schedule your interview it will be updated and you can schedule your interview. There is no need to wait for any packet, just go to the us embassy manila website and look for the k1 visa interview requirements.

One follow up question if I may. We are almost ready to schedule our interview but we are curious about the medical/interview timings. I know they have to be one week apart, but which do you schedule first? An example of our concern. We see a visa interview appointment that we want in two weeks; if we schedule it are we guaranteed a spot at St. Lukes at least a week before, or do spots at St. Lukes get filled up? So I guess what I mean is, if we schedule a visa interview, is it possible that we will miss it because St. Lukes cannot accommodate us as fast as the embassy?

Thank you,

Thank you for your time and help!

You will not receive package from the embassy, everything is done online.

Follow the embassy instructions letter, use it for your checklist in this process. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

Thank you,

Hard to do the medical a week before the interview if you don't have an interview date ;)

Medical is walk-in, first come, first served. Pre-register at the SLEC website to save time the day of the medical. Medical is a two day process. No issue with completing the medical "on time" as long as there are no TB issues.
