Been in AP since April 2nd of this year. It is frustrating the lack of information. We had all our documents and the interview went fine, did not request anything additional. Just stuck in waiting limbo.

Last update August 10th. Been getting 1 to 3 updates a month, but still in AP.

Just wanted to update that Amir's visa is ready to be issued. He interviewed back in April so just shy of 7 months total. He has to redo the medical but all in all not bad.

Good luck other Iranians.

Your case changed to NIV? I hope your "Ready" status isn't as long as ours! Our AP was pretty short - only 59 days, but our Ready wait was 40 days long!

OP, seven months in AP is so very long! Are you K-1 petitioner?

Hello all,

I have a dual US/Iranian citizenship and petitioned for an IR1 for my wife (in May 2014) whom I married back in Iran in April 2013 (over 2 yrs ago and hence IR1 rather then CR1 visa). We got the preliminay approval from Immigration and Naturalization and the case went to NVC and finally her case got assigned to the US Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia. Her interview took place on Sep. 24, 2015 but was placed on Administrative Processing (AP) and the CO handed her a BLUE sheet of paper (221g) with the following items checked on it.

1. Admin Processing

2. Medical Exam again if it the AP goes over 6 months

3. Additional proof of marriage such as photos, phone bills, etc. despite the fact we had furnished plenty of proof.

This blue sheet of paper says: please appear in person with your passport, and the missing documents anytime between the hrs of 9-5 any work day...etc. BUT DOES NOT SPECIFY if we NEED TO MAIL the missing docs before our case will come off the Admin processing or the other way around....

My question is: Do we wait until the US Embassy-Yerevan website posts our case number before my wife goes back to Yerevan with the Missing Docs plus her passport or do we mail in the docs before the case number is posted on their website. Please help.

RB
