Hello , me again . We are reading mixed reviews , is it a ds 160 ( which we filled out) or a ds260 needed for the k1 interview ? And what's the difference if anyone one knows

The difference is:

DS-260 - Immigrant visas. Spouses, Some relatives.

DS-160 - Non-immigrant visas. Fiances, tourists, rock stars, nannies, students.

As a fiance, you will be processed in London by the Immigrant Visa Unit because your intention is to stay and become a permanent resident by adjustment of status. Your process is different than those who are strictly temporary visitors. But your application form is DS-160 because the visa is categorized Non-Immigrant. You do not become an LPR the minute you enter on your visa.

Also note that when you check your status, pay your fee, queue outside on interview day, or email the embassy, you choose "Immigrant" portal because it is the Immigrant Visa Unit you are dealing with. You are kind of a hybrid and nothing is quite logical for you.
