Its been almost 24 days and I still have no clue what NVC is doing regarding my case. I have called so many times on different occasions but every time the rep comes up with same stupid answer oh we cant tell you at what stage your case is you have to wait for 30 days till you know the status of your case. My Question

NVC completes its review in thirty days max or it is just a bluff to stop people from calling NVC again and again?

If the people at NVC cannot tell me the status of my case then who should I talk too?

After your scan date, they have 30 days to review your documents and issue case complete or issue you a checklist. Unfortunately, until you either have CC or a checklist and you are still within the 30 days they NVC will not be able to tell you much. By checking your timeline you are still within the 30 days. To say it is 30 days max-well yes and no. For most people it is completed within 30 days; however, there are some people who do not have their paperwork reviewed within that time and are placed into supervisor review. You can check your case status in CEAC and look for the three N/A, when you see them you have CC. Also, you can call the NVC once a day to see if you have CC or a checklist issued- just keep in mind that until either of these actions happen they will not be able to tell you much. If at the end of 30 days you have neither CC or checklist, then you should call and ask to speak with a supervisor (it is unlikely that they will connect you with one, but they will put your case under review). Your timeline does not specify, you also sent in the AoS package, right?

Hello Kastrs Thank you for your reply actually I am worried because I already have received a checklist from NVC regarding my Tax return which my stupid consultant didnt filled correctly and it wasted a whole one month then their own website was down due to which we couldn't made payment of Bill IV till July. Now my only concern is that I dont receive a checklist after completion of thirty days that's why i keep calling them almost every day to know if their is a checklist ill be prepared in advance. Yes we have already sent the AOS package before we sent Bill IV package that's why we got a check list regarding Tax returns. And i dont understand what do you mean by three N/A on which link I can see that if you could kindly tell me that too Thanks in advance

when did you mail the response to the checklist? was it before you sent the IV package? when you log into CEAC check the DS260 item (3rd one down) and log in. Your civil documents, AoS fee, and AoS/supporting documents will have N/A.

No we responded the checklist along with Bill IV documents and thanks ill keep checking that link too for three N/A's. I am just worried because it will be a whole year on 24 August and we still havent receive any CC and Do you know in how much time after CC Interview could be arranged in Islamabad Consulate?

Well, no. It seems that it had basically been interview 2 months after CC, but so far no interviews have been scheduled for September in ISB.

We're stuck at NVC too so I feel your pain and frustration. We're on day 57 of supervisor review. The target is 45 days and even after that, they came up with some new thing of why it wasn't 45 days yet. Like the time starts counting when the supervisor has the documents, not when the case is actually put on supervisor review. Whatever. Fact is, the NVC reps that answer the phone have no clue, they can just see events on a computer and that's it.

If I were you, I'd wait till at least day 34 before calling. If you call after the 30 day deadline, they might put you on supervisor review and that's another 45 days on your case. Honestly, my husband and I are kicking ourselves for calling and getting put on supervisor review.

In regards to interviews, well no embassy is apparently scheduling interviews for September at the moment. I think they're still working on the backlog from when they couldn't print visas.

Thank You Mallafri the Journey of NVC is a constant pain of waiting. You are right regarding waiting till completion of 30days and calling them after but as you know the hardest thing in this world is waiting so yeah it is indeed difficult for me to wait and I know NVC reps don't know any thing they just tell you what they tell to every one most of them don't even know if you have submitted DS 260 form or some thing else we have also talked to supervisor one or two time and he came up with the same answer we cant tell you anything before completion of 30 days so it is frustrating the case which were begin after our cases are almost complete we on the other hand been hanging for a whole year and still we don't know what will happen to us. And I am surprised how few of the folks here manage to do their review on phone whereas when I asked for telephonic review the guy said it isn't possible. And LE&GE though I am pretty sure the agent u talked with would know nothing but hope for the best and my best wishes that you and Mallafri both get a Case Complete soon.

I feel so bad for all you folks hung up at NVC. I read some horrifying stories, it is such a shame.

I have no idea what has happened since early 2013, but my wife is Filipino, and there was no expedite but we had to endure 186 days at Vermont Service Center, and after it went over 180 days, they had to "answer to me why they were over the projected 180 limit" which was a great delight to me, listening to a Tier 2 rep., squirm.,.,.,., we had our NOA 2 a couple of days later.

But, I do not mean to infringe on someone else's thread, but this benefits all of us, "Why was me and my wife at NVC for less than 2 days.,.,.,.,.and I read all these problems of people getting through there.,.,..,.,just what has happened since early 2013 to now.

Most of the bad stuff I read here is about NVC, even more than the interview.

Yeah me too. I think there's probably like 1% of the NVC reps that will put you through to a supervisor and get your case reviewed. It's just a matter of getting one of those 1% to answer the call when you call.

We've said we're gonna give it till Monday, then it's been 60 days since our case got put on supervisor review, 56 days since our checklist scan date, 53 days since the supervisor requested our case for review and at least 45 days since the supervisor would have gotten our case on his desk. Either way, there's no way that NVC can come up with some other lame excuse of how it hasn't been 45 days yet.....

But you know Anonymous007, after the NVC hell we're going through, we'll be super equipped for the interview because nothing can be worse than what we're going through at NVC right now....

You are right Mallafri76 what else could go wrong then this never ending wait. I am surprised how NVC talks about shortening the time frame for settling Immigration cases my own consultant showed me a vague dream that oh your case gona be complete with 6 to 9 months max and now its been a whole year and i am waiting here for a case complete and pulling my hairs for not availing the option for going on Fiance visa and filling the case from US may be that way NVC would have shown some speed as they say they are trying to decrease the case settlements time which at the moment just seem like white lies. The reps dont even know how much tries a person has to do till his call get through and more over the never ending wait which they them selves say is of 20 minutes minimum and for me it always last in between 45 to 55 minutes till ii get to some one to speak with and in between that if the call drops due to what ever reason all that effort has to be done again. NVC should train their reps atleast they could give some picture of a person case. I know as well as other its not simple to just make a case complete their are some procedure which are to be done before a case could be considered as complete. Thing is no body is so fond of calling NVC wasting their time and energy and money because most people call them from out of US and international calls are not cheap and above that when a rep says he cant help u or couldnt give u a satisfying answer even it just makes a person go into depression and frustration especially when your spouse has to live in US and u have to live in different country.
