My mom is widow, do i need my dad's death certificate? Do i need to write a invitation letter?

All you need to do is file the I-130 and provide a copy of your birth certificate (showing your mother's name) and a copy of your US passport.

Yes, you can petition for your mother, as long as your birth certificate has her name on it.

To petition for your father, its a bit more complicated since you need to provide proof that you were legitimated before your 18th birthday.
