DS-260 vaccination question

For the DS-260 question:

"Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?"

My wife received her vaccinations when she was a child; however she has been unable to locate the records and believes they may have been lost during the Kosovo war.

When it comes time for her to fill out the application, should she say "No" and explain why she cannot produce the vaccination records and that she will get her vaccinations during her medical exam?

You will put Yes because she will have her medical and all vaccinations will be updated. So yes she will have documentation at the time of interview.

So with answering "Yes", and knowing she had her vaccines but doesn't have the record to show it, she should just explain that and add that everything will be done at the medical?

@ K & V - we did as DWheels suggested - we put yes. (we were short a couple of required shots, by the way, which were done at the medical)

I don't think you should overthink it ... the response to that question can only be "yes" because you will have to have documentation in order to have an interview!

Priority Date - December 2, 2013

USCIS -

12/02/13 : NOA1 (Priority Date)

03/24/15 : Case Transferred from VSC to CSC

03/28/15 : Hard copy of transfer received in mail

04/14/15 : NOA2 ( I-130 Approved) - finally! (informed via text on 4/16/2015)

NVC -

04/29/15 : NVC received the case (informed during phone call to NVC on 5/01/2015

05/08/15 : Case number assigned and IIN (received via phone call on 5/14/2015)

05/12/15 : NVC Welcome letter mailed

05/19/15 : NVC Welcome received in mail

05/29/15 : DS-261 Finally Available on CEAC and completed

05/29/15 : AOS bill Available on CEAC and paid (status: IN PROCESS)

No explanation is needed. Answer YES. That's it. If she got shots as a child she'll be getting shots now as an adult. No worries. It's Yes.

Put "Yes" because the pre-interview medical will take care of any deficiencies. We also put yes, no issues as we had case complete last week.
