Question: I will be in California from September 25th to October 2nd and after reading several timelines I have a feeling my Biometrics appointment will be during this time. Is there any way I can notice the USCIS of it before they send me my appointment letter?

I also read that some people try to do an early walk-in to their USCIS local office to accelerate the process. Any thought on this?

Thanks!

I am still waiting for my NOA, package was sent on Aug 29 and received on Aug 31. Hope I get it this week.

For those who don't have a job yet, are you going to start applying for jobs before getting your EAD or after you receive it? Job hunt can take a little while so I will definitely start applying before I get my work permit, is it something normal to do?

Hopefully you will get your NOA on your email and text today. It is okay to start applying for jobs. So that you can weigh your options before your EAD is out.
