oh no.. i got it.. he saw the payment if i would apply for advanced parole. but i told him that it's not the payment to go outside US.

my question is, im here in US for one year and if i will go visit Philippines and return here, do i need to count another 3 years to apply citizenship and they will disregard my one year stay here. or i can continue counting my first year and stay here for another 2 years to apply citizenship?

You will be traveling for vacation for one week and using AP to re-enter the US while you are waiting for your permanent residency to be approved. The fee for AP was waived when filed with a pending I-485. You do not need to pay anything beyond the $1070 you paid for AOS. None of that has anything to do with filing for citizenship later.

You will be eligible for US citizenship after you have been a permanent resident for 3 years while still remaining married to the same person for those 3 years. You cannot start counting the 3 years until your green card is approved. On the green card it will state, 'Resident Since:', and that is the date you can begin your '3 year clock' towards being eligible for naturalization.

Once you become a permanent resident, you will need to maintain your residency > http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/maintaining-permanent-residence

Before any of that, you will need to file for ROC(I-751). You are jumping ahead a bit being worried about US citizenship at this point.

You come from a beautiful and fine country, my wife is from Cebu, and I spent almost 2 years there, Mindanao, Bohol, etc.

The Filipino people are great also.

If you have your AP card from your AOS, you should have no problems.

Have a good time, but it is such a very long trip, wow, did it 8 times.

I do not know what 1 year you speaking of. As I said, for US citizenship, the time starts with the date your green card is approved. Your time so far in the US while waiting for the green card to be approved does not count towards your eligibility to file for naturalization.

Going for a visit while waiting for the green card to be approved will have absolutely nothing to do with gaining US citizenship. If using AP to re-enter, it will not abandon your AOS application either.
