Why don't Americans care anymore?

I did a lot of volunteer work in my home country among the poor. Those people had nothing but they were happy, thankful and grateful for help. Since moving to the US all I have seen are a bunch of lazy, entitled people. Able bodied people on permanent disability, people milking the system for all it is worth. It's a disgrace.

The lack of intellectual curiosity is astounding. I am waiting to meet people who are really excited, the "Americans" I thought this country was populated with. All I see is ineptitude, a lazy attitude to everything. It's disheartening. This country is headed down the tubes due to disheartened people. I cannot wait for my US passport so my spouse and I can move to a European country where people pull their weight and the government looks after it's citizens, both poor, middle-class and wealthy.

Tread carefully when deciding to immigrate to the US - it's not the place it purports to be. It's a culture in decline, much like the end of the Roman civilization.

If you hate and have no respect for the people here, then why do you want to be a US citizen?

You can leave here without a US passport. You don't need a US passport to leave here and live in Europe.

Would your country let as many immigrants in as the US? No. Look at the way Europe is treating asylum seekers.
