So my fiancé was married a few years ago his daughter is now 10 she lives in swiszerland Does he need to bring her birth certificate still and list her on the ds form . I emailed embassy and they told me it's good to include daughters birth certificate so officer can see everything . Anyone has same situation . She won't be joining him on k1

I was told by my lawyer that even if kids are not joining you in your K1 always list kids just in case few yrs later like when shes an adult, she might want to come to US. It will be easier for her to come coz she is already in the system. If you dont put her and she decides to come to US, it will be hard for her you will be questioned on why you didn't declare that you have a child. Just to avoid complications later on. It the Ds form there is a section to list kids then they ask if they are coming with the fiance... i put no, but when asked are they coming later... i put yes. Again this is what i did. Do what you are comfortable with.

On the approved petition I didn't list her as i thought it meant children joint on visa . So on the ds paper for the interview He should list her and bring her birth certificate just in case

In not sure if you could do that since she was not declared on the application to start with. Check with a lawyer. Some immigration lawyer provides free consultation.

i did the same thing back in 2012. and now my husband is petitioning my son, it seems like it doesnt really matter what you put in there coz, were doing all the paper process all over again..
