Ha Ha Ha No I do not work for the NVC .I just do not see what you are complaining about. I look at the spreadsheet that you have link for it shows average day 58 for interview you are well below that. My wife interview was 49 days from cc

I agree the OP and myself are both well under the average CC to interview days, but what we really should be looking at is average days from CC to interview being scheduled

Look I am in the same boat as you guys. I got the CC email on July 30th and since then there were at least 10 (I have multiple cases) more emails stating this and that, meaning all the back dated emails for which I already got confirmation (like choice of agent confirmation, payment confirmation for AOS and IV an etc). However I did not get a mail (physical) confirming the case complete instruction.

Knowing NVC doesn't set appointments I am curious as to if NVC is sending bye approvals to the embassy!!!! If that is not done then embassy will have no knowledge on approvals. I also understand NVC sends them in a bulk and not one by one hence it takes some for some and can be quick for some other. But usually it used to be once or twice a month depending on volume.

I can clearly understand and feel why people may get frustrated and even if it is for the wrong reason let them clear the gas here. That's one of the best thing of VJ. You not only get best possible suggestion and solutions but it also helps you to keep the sanity of your mind. If we find your statement unreasonable but not offensive we can simply ignore rather than trying to be righteous and make it more challenging for the ones that are suffering. That's bit insensitive and immature.

Long time ago I found a way to check the DHL website to find if packages on a certain date were mailed to a certain local embassy or not. I will search the similar thread and see if I can find something more, some other clues....

Good luck to all.

~~moved to US embassy and consulate discussion from Ir1/CR1 process and procedures. OP is addressing the NVC however this is about an interview date so more appropriately belongs in this forum~~

You understand that the the NVC cannot book you an interview date until the embassy gives them dates to give out. Getting mad at the NVC when their hands are ties is insane. It's like being mad at a car in front of you for not moving when there was an accident 3 miles down the road and no one is moving.

EXCELLENT ANSWER !!!! I agree completely !!!

Egyptian spouses have waited up to 10 months for their interview dates after CC.

If the petitioner feels there is an issue they can try to contact their representative (congressman or senator) and get someone involved.

I think that the frustration on this thread isn't so much the times from CC to interview but more that the scheduling of interviews at all embassies appears to have come to a grinding halt.

We haven't waited overly long yet (in the grand scheme of things) in that our CC was 5th August but apparently notification for interviews for London are normally scheduled 7 days after CC.

We are told that it is the embassies who notify NVC of interview times but it does seem strange that embassies globally appear to have stopped scheduling since mid July. Why would every embassy suddenly find itself with no time to schedule CR-1 interviews? Is it that non-immigrant interviews have taken priority and shunted us to the back of the queue?

I understand that visa printing was an issue back in June and July but one would have thought that cases were processed on a first come, first served basis not type basis?

LOL I really don't think the NVC has "paid employees" or shills here to curb our frustration and divert the blame. You're being ridiculous OP.

You are however correct in assuming that not many people are getting their interviews. I noticed on the spreadsheet that most countries with a CC date and no interview were Muslim countries. It's highly likely the embassies are backlogged due to Eid-ul-Fitr (biggest Muslim holiday, took place on August 17th this year I think) and will continue to remain that way well past Eid-ul-Adha (second largest Muslim holiday, last week of September.)

It's safe to assume that we're looking at a 90-120 day CC-to-interview interval rather than the ~60 that it had been prior to Eid.

To address Hellraiser's concern, it should be understood that the embassy sends out available interview dates to the NVC who then schedule your interview and send your packet to your consulate/embassy. The NVC has yet to recieve those interview dates. The delay is from the embassy.

Also, OP you should know that your embassy cannot tell you anything. They will literally say this to you, that they cannot tell you anything. I don't know who is telling you that it's the NVC's fault, but I'm certain that it can't be your embassy as they never entertain such queries.

In conclusion, I believe that embassies are the culprit, regardless of what their excuse may be. Best of luck to you all, as we're all in this together.

Open ur eyes & check back the spreadsheet again, it's not only the muslim countries with no interview, applicants of CR1 from every country is facing the same problem.

Dont just make a story and post it as a reply to someone's frustration. We & most other country's applicants have contacted their local embassy and were told that they are waiting for the NVC. They have nothing to do with this delay. How come all of a sudden the embassies from the whole world has no interview time for CR1 applicants? Keep ur assumption as sympathy to u.

Do you not recall the June 9th issue and how long it took to be rectified?

Do you not think that maybe they are backlogged or very busy in the summer?

I see it EVERY year at this time of year (August) where there is a longer wait period. These are human beings who conduct interviews. As such they are also allowed to have holidays during the summer, with their children and loved ones as well.

If you are so concerned, contact your representative, or ask the embassy to make an interview date for you and request the documents from the NVC. Please note the response they give you to this and think about it. If they say they cannot, that is a line of bologna because that's exactly what happens when an expedite goes through. If they can, then congrats!

Oh here some data for you

http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2014AnnualReport/FY14AnnualReport-TableIII.pdf(immediate relative visas per country)

Over 467,000 visas granted in 2014 of which 75,689 are USC spousal visas (IR1/CR1). I think the NVC is pretty busy.

Whether NVC is busy or not is irrelevant - it doesn't take much to schedule an interview date. NVC says they are waiting on the Embassy/Consulate and the Embassy/Consulate are waiting on the NVC. I am not so irritated by the wait, but the lack of not knowing what the h*ll is going on. If they said the interview is such and such date 3mo from now I would be disappointed but I would least I know this entire process would be coming to close. Our case has been closed since 28 April and we are fast approaching 120 days so one would think that is ample time to coordinate an interview.

I don't disagree with you that NVC are busy but your response does not account for why it is that those applying for Immigrant visas have not been receiving interview dates since mid-July (expedites excepted) whilst non-immigrant interviews look like they are still being scheduled.
