Consulate did not grant me my visa in trouble

So I had my interview this past Friday in Montreal. Now after hard preparation I noticed I couldn't find my police check. I wasn't granted my visa as I was expecting. I have let me family down and our plans are now pending.I was give a letter stating that I had to submit the police check through loomis.also it said that it would take 6-8 weeks before I get any response. and so I drove all the way back home to Toronto to the nearest loomis and had it sent out. They said that it would arrive on Monday and the consulate building in another location. Did anyone else go through this similar situation. Any response will be greatly appreciated
