Hello to everyone on V.J. I want to say thank you to the people who have helped my husband and I get this far with this process. I do have some more questions though..

On Tuesday my husband had his visa interview at the joburg embassy. It lasted about 20 minutes ( not including waiting time ). The woman who interviewed him was very nice and actually from the same part of America I am from which was very awesome!. She told us at the end of the interview that everything looks good. So we asked it we were approved and she said that she doesnt see a reason why not but to just give them 3-5 business days to finish with the paperwork unless there are technical difficulties it will take longer but they will email us within 5 business days with next steps??

It has been 3 days now... Should we email them?? Should we be worried?? Is my husbands visa approved??

Wouldnt they let you know there if it was denied? They still have my husbands passport and everything so i take it that it is approved?

Please help people <3 Im stressing out.

Regards,

Shelby & Steven.

If she said 5 days then wait 5 days, calling now would yield no results.

The good things is they kept the passport. Sometimes the CO that initially reviews the case at the interview can only make a recommendation for approval, not actually issue the approval.

It's going to be Ok, I'm sure you will get that passport back soon, with a visa in it of course

good luck

I had to actually cancel my tickets waiting on Johannesburg embassy. They told me I'd have our passports in two days.... Weeks later after crying my eyes out they called me saying they had difficulty in spelling my name! Imagine ... Anyhow went to the embassy a hour later .... Flew out that same evening ? Yaaay so just chill as hard as it is. They take their sweet time
