Hi and thanks in advance. I am currently at NVC and yes, I need to fill out my timeline.

I have been doing the process slowly but here is where I am at: choice of Agent completed in May and paid AoS in May. Submitted both packages May 22 via EP.

June, recieved a checklist for updated passport (silly me) and new scanned copy of longform as it was cut off.

Recieved new passport and submitted as well as longform. Paid IV fee, and has been 2 weeks since I submitted DS 260.

Woke up to an email, and I groaned....checklist for "F-Financial Evidence". Nothing else under that except "we cant process this case until your forms blah blah blah".

Of course I cant get through. After I paid my IV fee, I did get an email stating I must complete DS 260 with no mention of missing info regarding AoS.

Is this a false checklist? Or should I madly be calling NVC to verify they have my AoS forms? I sent them EP May 22nd. Why are they telling me this now??

Yes Solmart, I can relate. I did read on a wiki here it can be a galse checklist if it is a generic email. I think it may be because now everything is completed, why now? But...it is NBC so who knows. *sigh*

I did EP as well. I submitted two e-mails with all of the required documents. I received a checklist for some of the documents that I had already sent about 45 days after, and it turns out that not all of the attachments made it through to the NVC. I'm not sure why, but I think that I made sure that the individual documents were under 5MB instead the whole e-mail. I'm guessing that some of the attachments fell through the cracks, so to speak. I re-sent what they were missing, and received another checklist a week and two days later asking for our marriage certificate. I had previously sent the wallet-sized certificate, and I didn't realize that they only accept the full-size certificate. I just sent that off today.

At this point, a representative is able to look at what you sent and what they don't have. Sometimes, it could be a mistake on their end, and a representative is able to disregard some items on your checklist. BE SURE to call and make sure!

If you do have to resend anything, it only took a week and two days for them to check out the items I had sent after I received my first checklist, so if you're in the same boat as me, feel good knowing that it won't take ANOTHER 30-45 days for them to check it!

Thank you for the response! I FINALLY got through 3 days later. Yes, my file was too big. Glad I called rather than assume it was a false checklist. The rep did tell me it wouldn't mess up my 30 days. Now I wait. I think this phase is worse than waiting for i-130 approval. :)
