Ok so our last thread was closed down because it became too large. My congresswoman forwarded me the response she got from the U.S. Embassy in Algiers about the transfer of my case from Cairo to Algiers. I thought everything was electronic but apparently not because this is what they wrote.

I wanted to confirm that we have accepted transfer of the case. We are just awaiting for the actual physical file to reach us. At that point we will schedule the interview. We recommend that applicants hold off on coming to Algeria until their case is scheduled here.

So how long will it take for the physical file to arrive in Algiers?

AbuAmina

why dont you make the title of this forum more general to Yemenis then making it specific to yemenis in algeria or dijbouti. it's easier to search.

also, how would other members from previous group know you created this group? i would suggest you message the Ryan person and asking if you can post the link in the previous post so people know you've created a new thread.

Honestly I didn't give the title much thought. As far as Ryan I messaged him twice asking him nicely to unlock our thread and he is ignoring me. I believe he is the same person who was deleting posts of our previous thread because people were writing in Arabic but this was over a year ago.

No I tried but they won't let me change the title.

Sorry about that. I'm about to get on a plane in a few hours to Algeria so I'm not all the way there right now.

I've created this new thread with a more general title and since it was placed in the middle east and africa section you can write in arabic if needed.

كلام صحيح بس الحمدالله الان الجميع يستطيع ان يشارك ويستفيد

My flight was actually good. A lot better than I expected. When we got to Algeria they seen that we had 2 infants so they filled out the cards for us and we were out the airport within 10 mins. Compared to people being stuck there for hours I gotta say allah is watching over me. Algerians are great people but it's not easy understanding there dialect.
