I have submitted DS260 first, which says will be reviewed 30 days. and two weeks later submitted documents, which again says will be reviewed in 30 days. NVC says they will review them together, but based on the documents date. Is this something that you guys experienced

Thanks.

For the checklist it will take 30 days or less to be reviewed my checklist took only 21 days and they reviewed...

Not really.. day 42 since we responded to checklist. (Today = 60 days since ds260 submittal)

After waiting and waiting, they put us in Supervisor review last week.. AND told us additional 30 days.

Did you call NVC to get your review quicker.. or was it automatic?

Due to my case, package didn't review 30 days, it was shorter.

First package was scanned 6/16, and reviewed done by 7/10, then the checklist package was scanned by 7/17, done by 8/5.

Not sure if NVC will take 30 days review ds260, cuz one of my friend submitted hers 1 days before her case complete.

But reps did said that it's pretty quick to review the package and ds260, maybe couple hours, just need to wait on line since there are a lot of applicants.

Their target is within 30 days from the time they scan your documents into their system. Checklist is about another 30 days, from the new scan date.

Current target time for supervisor review is 45 days, although we're currently on day 49 and counting. If you add the fact that they forgot to review my DS-260 and that puts us on day 113 or something ridiculous.... F-ing NVC.... It's all about luck... If you're lucky and get the right reviewer or supervisor, you sail through, if you're unlucky and get the wrong person, brace for a loooooooooong wait.

@ Tom - here is my experience:

I believe strongly that it is the DS-260 that first triggers things - not the scan date. NVC likes to review the DS-260 and the docs together and they will begin reviewing the DS-260 3 weeks after submission (I have the letter somewhere from NVC to AILA confirming this). At 3 weeks time they will look for your docs...if your docs are incoming they will review both together and your will get a case complete or checklist in 4 weeks.

Now, if you have not sent in your DS-260 and NVC only receives your docs....then after 30 days + you will get a checklist for the DS-260. (I have not yet figured out if you get only the DS-260 checklist or if you will also get the document checklist).

Anyway, both NVC and VJ tell you to send the DS-260 in first and then your docs ( you should not send the docs in too long after the DS-260 - otherwise you will miss the first go around at the 3 week mark when NVC is trying to review your case).

I followed this guideline strictly and I resisted the urge to send things out of order, so as not to confuse NVC's workflow, and our case completed very quickly.

Best of luck!

AILA question to NVC:

c. Is there anything AILA can do to assist the NVC in reducing document processing times or unnecessary processing delay inquiries (e.g., publicize instructions or expected waiting periods)?

NVC's response:

Submit all supporting documents in one package rather than separately. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package. Remember to submit the coversheet on the top of the filing.

Ideally, the NVC will review all civil and financial documents at the same time as the DS-260. The NVC will check the system and if the system shows that there is incoming mail pending, it will wait for the case call-up date and review everything together. If 21 days pass since the filing of the DS-260 and the system does not show that there is incoming mail pending, the NVC will review the DS-260 and will issue a document checklist.

Same situation here. NVC told me they would review it together but 30-35-day period would start from the date of last doc received (scan date).
