how often do you verbally talk to your fiance?

we talk about once a week either on skype or facebook and text on facebook or whatsapps all the time.

I tell him that I want to talk to more he says he wants to too but does not make the effort. He says he is always says he soooo busy. I have called him a few times he won't answer nor return the call. So I gave up on calling and told him if he is sooo busy to call me.

If you can not take 10-15 minutes out of day to call someone you really care about then what is point of moving forward.

I am suppose to go visit him next month but am having doubts on even going.

UGH

So just to clarify: do you only communicate once a week or do you just skype once a week and talk on whatsapp and facebook everyday?

During the process me and my fiance skyped about once a week and then talked on Hangouts everyday. When it got closer to me coming Skype got more frequent though.

What country are you in? Time difference and work gets in the way a lot of times and it can be very frustrating. But I don't think it's necessary to verbally talk every day but that's just my opinion.

i liked a phone call when i was finally in bed, going to sleep.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

We would call each other 2-3 times a day.He would call me before he left for you. So for about 10mins or so. Then one of us would call at lunch. Then the next call would be when he got home from work. If either of us was busy during one of those calls we would call again later that night. The calls 4pm and later usually lasted a long time, or would be even multiple calls. Such as I'm going out with my BFF I'll call you when I get back. Or he was going out to supper so he would call me back.

We also sent emails, he never had a fb. We also played EQ together so talked online also.

I will admit we still talk a lot. I think I drive him nuts but he says I don't and loves when I talk. I think he is nuts because I do talk a lot :P

We spoke on the phone or via Skype 2-3 times each day, even if it was just a very brief "Good morning, I don't have time to talk right now"

It sounds like you may be more invested in this relationship than he is. Given your past thread, I think your doubts are warranted.

They saying is always follow your gut, nobody ever regrets following their gut.

Now don't get me wrong I had some moments where I thought I was crazy thinking about moving. That was me being a total chicken and afraid of change, not my gut telling me something was not right.

Well let's see, every single day since 2002/2003ish. That's a lot of speaking! Phone, txt, messenger, email, audio chats online. The longest we went not speaking to each other was when a computer/internet died or I was in the hospital. Needless to say there was a handwritten letter waiting in the mailbox for me. These days if there's an emergency we just use our international phone plan. There's tons of ways to communicate in the digital age.

Time and work differences can have an affect however, so you have to plan for that. I would say in your case, and based on your previous thread, that if you are only speaking very briefly to a person online and are not actively communicating, then you may need to take a step back from a trip.

Back When, we'd talk by phone a few times a week (at $1/min, then .31/min) and e-mail as frequently as possible.

(The $1/min phone expense, over a period of months, impressed the Foreign Service National who conducted our Stokes interrogation at the hellhole Guayaquil consulate.)

Now, after years of marriage so far, it's more like "shut up, don't talk to me."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

We talked every day online for hours, back then yahoo messenger was the big craze. We called each other once a week via the phone. Now my husband emails me from work 3 times a day and if he is on the road for work he calls me constantly to the point where sometimes "I don't happen to hear the phone".:content:

I could only speak to my wife over the phone/Skype like once a week, mainly due to her crummy internet connection. We like tried every app, LINE, What'sApp, Viber, but could never really maintain a stable "voice" connection, except on Sundays, really odd. I theorized that it must have been because everyone in the Philippines was at Church so no one was using the internet, hahaha.

That said, I would have killed to hear my wife's voice more often, or see her smile in action. Texts can often lead to miscommunication/misunderstanding as they cannot inflect tone or demeanor. If your man is "too busy" to talk with you now, I cant imagine what he would be like in the future,

I speak with my fiancée everyday on whatsapp, and anytime that we have time to speak on Skype, we do. The time differences can make things difficult, but we have managed things very well. Communication is key in a LDR. I hope everything works out the way it's supposed to OP.

Skype was on all day, almost every day when we were at home. It stayed on when we went to sleep. We messaged otherwise and occasionally talked on the phone during work.
