USCIS Truck outside my house

6 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

This morning when I went out of the house about 6:40am I saw in the middle of the road a USCIS truck with Texas license plates. I live in TN and I am, as far as I understand 100% legal. I am to complete the adjustment of status request. The only thing that alarms me is this USCIS personnel did not seem to try and contact me. I was too afraid to approach and since I was leaving the house anyway I just tried to carry on as normal and got in the car and went and did errands. When i returned, the truck was gone. Should I be concerned or is this standard procedure? I tried to do a search for similar cases but could not find anything on the internet but maybe it has something to do with the way I am trying to search for it.

You didn't have anything to worry about. That USCIS truck probably wasn't there for you anyways.

USCIS does make unannounced 'house calls' to see if a couple truly lives together during the AOS process but very rarely.

I remember 2 posters who said they went to the bathroom asking about or counting tooth brushes and digging around the dirty laundry

basket and wanting to see the closets. Yep !

Are you sure you didn't see this truck http://www.usicllc.com/ and your eyes played tricks on you ?

I did a double take once when I saw it, it's a locator service.

Even if it was USCIS there is nothing to worry about for genuine couples to get a 'home inspection'.

My eyes did a double take the first time I saw one of those trucks around here too.

Me three! I used to see those trucks everywhere.

...plus most government agencies drive unmarked vehicles with fed gov tags, white with blue, not state tags.
