Problems on marriage before removing the conditions

Your wife is an alcoholic. It is what it is. She will not admit it so for now it looks like it will always be a problem. It is not the fault of her family. They may enable her, but moving away will not change the problem.

That said….I think she has a good heart and does not want to cause you extra pain. My advice would be to focus on school and make friends. Learn as much as you can so when both of you decide it is time for a divorce…..you will feel secure in your immigration status.

I agree with Eieio. Your wife is an alcoholic. And if she is at the stage that she doesn't admit this...it means she will not willing to change and work on changing this drinking habit. That means two things for you:

1. it will only get worse and she'll be a lot worse in alcohol consumption (if she still doesn't admit her alcohol problem)

2. one time she'll just grab a guy and get herself pregnant since in her world you are an incompetent man who cannot provide this to her

And whichever will come first (1. or 2.) you'll have even harder time to prove to USCIS how great and bonafide your marriage was. And this will hurt you a lot more, than now filing for divorce. If you show that your marriage was a good one up until the divorce USCIS will understand it better than if you wait until 1. or 2. or both come into effect. Then USCIS will suspect quickly that you stayed around just to get your immigration status cleared. Think twice! She is not ready, she says that because basically she can party and drink and yet still can go to a "home" and being supported by you. I don't think she truly loves you as then she would want to change. Which from your messages, it doesn't sound like she is admitting that she has drinking problem. Life is way too short, pal. Good luck!
