How long do i really need to wait until i can call NVC for our case number?

ive read from other people who are done with everything that even after a 7-10 days i can call and recieve the case number.

enlighten me please!

I'd say at least wait two (2) weeks. I got my NOA2 on 07/28/2015 and there still isn't a case number generated yet.

A lot said 7-10 days some took even 30 days before they can get their MNL case number, it took me 12 days not including the weekends as NVC is closed on weekends. I would suggest after 10 working days just keep trying to call them regardless of what they say that it takes 35 days for them to receive your application. Just keep calling and stay positive, I would recommed calling at 7am eastern time so you won't have to wait too long. If you call later in the day expect to get busy signals or more than an hour wait. Good luck!
