proof of ongoing relationship

I know this has probably been asked by many before but i'd love to know just how much "proof of relationship/ proof of ongoing relationship", people actually took to the interview.

What kind of proof did you take and how was it presented?

I have collected a lot of proof but i'm thinking I have way to much and a lot of what I have is probably not necessary, would greatly appreciate any help.

For us, my fiance brought like 30 photos, 3R size, if I remember correctly.

Each photos for each month were together(I've stayed with her for a while).

Same goes with Skype/Viber photos, 2-4 photos for each month we were apart from each other. Screenshot then paste onto a word file.

Selected messages from Viber, Skype, text messages, call logs... etc. for each month as well.

We also included gift receipts, handwritten letters...

We put it in a filing folder so it's easy to pick if need be.

My fiancee was only asked of our photos together. She brought like maybe 3kg(?)/4-5 inches thick file of papers.

Of course, it's good to be ready whatever they will ask. And it might be different in the embassy that your fiancee will be interviewed.

It varies a lot by embassy, but Australia isn't known for being very demanding. Remember, they receive your package from USCIS with all the evidence you've already sent. For most people, anything extra they take regarding relationship evidence is rarely used.

You can review how interviews went at your embassy over here for a better idea of specifics: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Australia&cty=&dfilter=5&topic=K1+Visa

I prepared more of the same type of evidence I originally sent in. The CO only looked at two pics.

I never sent in any copies of chats...we did not have any problems.

Hello THE NOTEBOOK :) I took quite a bit including wedding plans and Skype/Facebook logs and whatever we have done to contribute since we applied.

They honestly didn't even ask to see it. We provided a lot when we applied so they may not have needed it, and there may be some cases that they do, I'm not sure.

I would recommend maybe taking just a bit of different types of things to prove. Don't go to extreme lengths unless you think you didn't provide enough initially. Chances are you probably won't be asked for it, they didn't even mention ongoing relationship to me.

I think they're mostly interested in how we met, how we got engaged, and a bit of what you know about them.

Good luck :)

They asked us for a lot

Looked at a few photos of 1 of my 5 trips

what they look for is serious relationship

and honesty

the interviewer is serious so be confident and answer quickly with short concise answers

Im not an immigration lawyer and im not an expert on this subject, but i know you can overdo it. Im sure they not want to flip thru 50 photographs, and pager after page of family testimony.

Its typically 5 or 6 photograps, a hotel receipt and it would help if one for the photos is at that hotel. Airplane tickets. Even better if you have photos with the girls family, that helps to prove that you met everyone.

My girl and i went to a photo studio and had professional photos taken and i have the receipt from the studio and its dated, plus i have the charge statment on my credit card that matches the photo studio receipt.

Best of luck to you.

I prepared a whole god damn package of our relationship, including the receipt and valuation of the ring.

I offered it up: "No, that's fine."

Not even required for me in Sydney. Kind of disappointed seeing as though I spent hours putting it together!

My husband brought the plane tickets from my consecutive visits after I filed, photos taken from those visits & my bus ticket receipts. They didn't ask for any of that stuff. Then again, it was the UK & they aren't as fussy.

I am the petitioner.

Made a 3 ring binder of about 20 pics, phone logs and chat logs to show continued contact. The IO did look at some of it. I'd take some evidence just to be safe.
