So it's been a few days since our online status changed to "My New Card Is Being Produced"; We decided to check if there has been any new status update. Well, there has been one, but not for the better... our status has gone back to "My Welcome Notice Has Been Mailed" but the dates are now later. They now say the notice is on Aug 28, 2015 (instead of our previous July 23, 2015) and that we should NOW receive our green card by October 27 (instead of Sept 21). Needless to say we are both in a state of disbelief...

So, no more patiently waiting - we've called 800-375-5283, asked for the "next level up" and put in our service request and got our service request reference number. They said we should expect to hear back within 2 weeks. We will do the infopass if they cannot produce concrete results (i.e. green card mailed status, or GC in hand) during these next two weeks.

We'll keep you all posted, thank you for the guidance.

I strongly believe that the online statuses are kind of garbage, because most of the times they are out of sync, unfortunately.

In my case on 8/2 status changed to Card Production. On 8/7 I got the approval hard copy but only on 8/9 the status finally changed to Welcome Notice saying they approved the case on 8/3 !!! How can you order card before approving, makes no sense to me.

On 8/24 status changed that Card got mailed on 8/22 - again no sync.

I received the card on 8/25 - and online status still says Card mailed. Normally, as I have seen with EAD/other cases, it changes once USPS delivers the card to you - so again out of sync in my case.

Infopass much required for you, what I feel, as they are dragging things for long, unfortunately.

I am sorry you guys have to experience this.

They always tell you it takes 2 weeks to reply a SR. But in reality it is usually faster. I did a SR too after 1 month waiting. 2 days later my GC was mailed. 4 days later I received a letter about SR from USCIS. The letter explained that our request has been "handled". So I am hoping you guys status will be changed very soon. Don't pay too much attention to their website. It is not stable. I would wait for couple weeks to do infopass too. And, check mail box everyday. Once your SR is "handled", you should receive that letter in the next several days.

Good luck guys !

Mostly copied from my post in the November 2014 filers thread:

"Its here! Its my green card is finally here.

Its only taken nearly a year of waiting lol.

Sent AOS end of November 2014.

08/22/15 Approved confirmation (via phone), USCIS website states ordered new card.

08/24/15 Welcome notice mailed.

09/01/15 Mailed GC

09/03/15 Received GC"

Have USCIS sped up recently or something? I was expecting a much longer wait - like 3 - 4 weeks or so...

Very pleasantly surprised!!

Thanks for all the encouragement and support everyone... Today, (the day after doing the service request) our status on USCIS website has changed to: "My card was mailed to me" - with a Sept 3 mailing date. We know the website can be pretty unreliable but we definitely feel like that is a step in the right direction. Checking our mailbox daily and will keep you all posted!

Great news :joy:

Wait for couple of days, the card should be there, as they use 2 days shipping.

Check online if they updated the USPS tracking # (which I doubt). If you don't receive it by 5th, call up USCIS & directly talk with the next level for the tracking #.

I would say you can call now itself & ask for it - saying you want to make sure it gets delivered to you & don't wanna miss it, hence u need to track it

All the best...

Congratulations! As we expected, it only took them 2 days to "handle" your SR. Now you can sit back and relax. :)

Excellent!!! So glad to hear it :) And also glad to know SRs are of some use.

"My card was mailed to me" is a reliable status update. I've never seen someone post that they still haven't received it a while after getting that update.

GCs are sent by 2-day mail so I bet you'll get it on Saturday or Monday. Congratulations!!!! :)

Hi Guys,

My status shows the same i.e. Card Is Being Produced and the date is Aug 05 2015. I called USCIS and they are advising that it would 60 days from the date this message was posted. My understanding is that in the worst case it should be 60 days from the date of entry or from the date IV fee was paid.

Could someone please advise what I need to do? The lack of this card is stalling my travel outside the country and preventing me from opening a bank account as well.
