  • 2 weeks later...

I'm in the same boat my CC date is 4/30/2015 and I called the NVC last week and one of the ladies told me that HCMC embassy had a computer problem and for a period no interviews were being scheduled so everything was behind. Not sure how long the system was down but understand it is up and running now

It looks like Vietnam is really behind. I'm seeing more people with case complete around April still not getting interview. Other countries are getting their interview with CC in July..

*depressingly slow but I'll try to remain optimistic. A weekly call to the NVC should help.

I though that after DS from , and paying for the VISA fee, you can login and select the the interview date.

So, that is where I am confuse and lost on this thread,,, when you paid for the Visa, and login ,, there is no day to schedule the interview????

That is correct steve. The moral of the story is that you need to pay coffee money. We aren't so we have to wait because those that paid gets priority. There is no way in hell that none of us get the interview date while others getting theirs and they pay about 1700. I know this because my friend's wife got hers date within 2 months.

May 7, 2014 - I-130 sent to Chicago, IL Lockbox

May 12, 2014 - Case recieved at Chicago, IL.

May 13, 2014 - Case accepted. Received LIN#. Case forwarded to USCIS, Nebraska. i-797 hard copy received shortly after.

Jhoe369, how do you pay coffee money when NVC is the one scheduling the interview? Vietnam consulate can only send available dates of interview to NVC. Please clarify, thanks..

1. coffee money to who, because ,, DS form is done online.

2. coffee money to who,, because paying for Visa is via Post office or HSBC bank.

3. Then go back online at the Visa to select the date for interview... this is where I am confuse,,, so currently right now, you paid for the VISA and there is no days to select for the interview???

K1 is a different process as far as I can discern so you are comparing two different types of visas. I surmise K1 can schedule their own interviews.

There are people over there that knows who to give coffee money to within the consulate over there. Most people do not accept this job unless you feel like spending money to speed up the process because there are a lot of people over there to give money for this process, but doable. They will push your paperwork ahead. They even guaranty passing the interview 100%. And you only need to pay half up front. The other half you can pay when you get on the plane, thats how good they are.
