I thank you so much for your love and support and for thinking of my family at a time when you are still dealing with everything you have dealt. Many people believe after immigration life gets easier. I can say thats not always the case. My spouse has had the hardest time adjusting to living here. Given what I know now Solenta I would rather give someone like you a chance to have your family together and to be happy. Only God knows why things are the way they are and I pray that God will move and give a miracle to your family by granting your husband a visa. I pray you will find comfort in the those who love and care about you the most until that time comes. I really do ask God to bless you due to the many ways you have been here to encourage and support others who come and go on this thread.

Thank you so much for your response and I know it's not easy to adjust to a new life away from everything you know and love. Being away from your family like parents siblings is the worst, I lived it while I was living in Egypt for almost two years with my husband. I will be praying that your husband will soon adjust to the US craziness hahahaa all countries are crazy in their own special way. I think given enough time he will be fine and realize what a great place this is to live in.

Awww thank you, I can only thing God has his reasons for this long wait but I just wish he would let me in on it. It has been my true pleasure and honor to have supported in anyway wonderful people like you. You are one special human being and I am blessed to have known you if even only on VJ.

I feel the same way. Been under supervisor review at NVC now for 50 days and still nothing.... Every time we call, they give some other lame excuse.

If we've had known it was gonna be this stressful, I think we would have chosen Canada as our future home instead. Don't even sleep at night, wake up five times a night worrying.

yup stuck with the joyful supervisor review with NO checklists.

I guess I chose the US as I like it here more than canada but we all should not be punished, we are all contributing same way or perhaps even more. We are paying for the supervisors salary collectively as well, w/o all the immigrants there wouldnt be nvc and hence no need for all of them

Why is it that some get case completes within days or weeks, while others spin in limbo for months? Is there a rhyme or reason?

Each time I call, NVC tells me docs have been reviewed, they have my ds260, it just needs reviewing. Now wouldn't it be efficient to complete the review and get it over with.. rather than me having to call again and again?

How does NVC function? Not a rhetorical question, I am genuinely curious.

Welcome to the thread to all the new members, I'm so sorry but I had an answer for each of you but I'm on my laptop which I hate and must have pressed on the wrong key because all my replies went poof.

Please try to not make sense of what the immigration departments do because in fact there is no rhyme or reason for anything they do. If there is it's a mystery to everyone.

We know how you feel and are here for you when ever you need us in good times and bad.

I don't know about the NVC process, but the "Administrative Processing" after interview is blatent discrimination against women petitioners. (How I feel the Embassy treats us....)

It is common knowledge male petitioners's wives tend to get their visas issued either immediately, or close thereafter, "red flags" or not. Husbands of petitioners are put in "AP" for an undetermined amount of time, kind of like guantanemo bay prison, held there with no known end, for no real reason....and so those of us suffering are learning a HUGE lesson in patience!

This being said, I wish ALL to get their visas ISSUED asap!!!

We always pray for this, and for immigration reform on this discrimination issue!

As always well said and I'm with you 100%, someone needs to do something about this. Funny how men can be very old and women very young and it's ok in same sex marriages or fiance Visa filers and it doesn't matter. I have seen the opposite when it's women that are the petitioners unless of course it's same sex. I have nothing against it but it should be the same for both genders no matter who they happened to fall in love with. What is this world coming to. God be with us!!!!!!

No updates on our ceac...whatever. We have no choice but to be patient. Btw: on the Embassy!

Meanwhile, I did get an A in my first class, yayyy. Now I'm in this new class, and I have to make a 15 page powerpoint. HA. I have no idea how to do that. Thank God for youtube!

Hope everyone's case is actively being worked on, and I pray we all get our ISSUEDS today! Or, ASAP!!!

Hahahaa love how you use the emotes, since everything happened haven't felt like using them I'm happy you use them. They really make me smile.

Same here don't know whats going on they love to keep things a secret but I agree we have no choice but to wait it out. God in heaven please have mercy on us and let this torture end and we can go about our normal lives.

Filled out DS-260 on July 9th.

Paperwork scanned in response to last checklist July 27th.

Called NVC today, no movement on either one. Apparently my DS260 has been flagged for a supervisor to revise, not sure if that is the official Supervisor Review that takes up to 42 days. Seeing people with similar scan dates get case complete, which only heightens my despair.

Sick to death of this process. I had no idea what immigrants to the US go through when they follow all the rules.

Is there any way to get this process moving any faster? This is ridiculous. Should I start asking to talk to a supervisor when I call the NVC?

bogota, whenever you call the nvc insist on speaking to the supervisor. if none is available ask them to officially put a request in for a call back.

The more we as USCs do something the right and legal way, others get away bending the rules (without penalty).. grrrh!!!

Throughout the whole process I was so tempted to come over on the VWP and just stay. I could have done that last August when I visited for a couple of weeks. but I chickened out and decided to go home and wait it out. I didn't even care about the money already spent, I just wanted to make the move! I'm terrible with taking risks and facing the unknown though . Besides which, I wanted to save up some money from my old job, and that really came in handy since I haven't found work yet.

Imagine if AOSing was forbidden, though. All those people who would have adjusted status would be in the queue for NVC and the embassy too, so perhaps in a way they did us a favour?
