Hi all , I need to apply for my name change for ssc and need to assist husband in applying for his ssc. We got married July 25, live in Durham , any tips on how to apply ? Anyone out there applied in Durham ? Any luck prior to AOS? Haven't started AOS yet but will within next 1-2 weeks . Working on adding husband to accounts ect

You should be able to change the name on your SSC with your marriage license as it is a legal document for changing your name. As to your husband, he can get a card prior to the AOS if there is at least two weeks validity left on his I94 using his passport for proof of ID. If his I94 is expired, he will need to wait until he receives his EAD or GC to apply for a SSN.
