Today I had my oath ceremony (Yay!!!!) and during the ceremony they told us that there is no longer a need to go to the Social Security Administration to update their record because it is done automatically (they should receive the update after about 10 days)...

At my oath ceremony last week, we were told to wait for 10 days before going to SSA office to update status. The 10 days gap is for SSA offices getting the update from USCIS about an individuals immigration status change.
