Hi,

I'm filling I-765 form (Application form Employment Authorization). For now i'm not in US yet. Planning to visit after one month. I want to submit this application form (I-765) online.

So, there is several fields that i did not understand well.

There is 2 field where you have to enter "Alien Registration Number" or "Form I-94 Number". Also, it is possible to skip those fields and continue filling the application.

Question:

What happens if i will leave those fields empty and submit the application form? will it be rejected because of not to specifying those numbers?

Thanks,

I believe you have to wait until you've entered the US and received an A#/I-94 # to be able to apply.

That is also my understanding.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Agree with others, you cannot apply i-765 from outside. Once you are in US, you can apply for it only if your current status allows you to work or you are applying i-765 concurrently with the application for future status which allows you to work.

Yeah, this is correct. The link below may be helpful:

As you can see, you need to include the electronic I-94 form which you can only get after arriving in the US.
