Congrats on the first step of the process. Keeping things in perspective, your at the bottom of the hill. There is so much more to do. Now is the time to wait as you will not hear from USCIS for about 2 months. Once you do hear from them about your approval, then it's time to rock and roll.

To give you a hint of what's to come, visit my K1 guide and begin to read up on the next steps and what is involved. Just click on the link in my signature below next to the twisting arrow.

Return here at anytime to ask questions. Lot's of good helpers here.

Welcome to the waiting. If you are like many of us, you will waste far too much time looking for action on your file every day, even when it is much too soon to expect any action.

You will get a tremendous amount of good advice here if you read regularly. (Of course, at the cost of using far too much time.)

I did a recent analysis of NOA1 to NOA2 times for California (CSC). The median (half faster, half slower) processing time is now down to 31 days, down from 37 days a month ago. Even better a quarter of the files are processed within 22 days, down from 32 days a month ago. There is also tremendous variability. Thus 1/4 of the files are taking 52 days or longer. There is also a fair amount of arbitrariness. Why is one file from July 15 processed yesterday, while another was filed June 30? What about all the people in between? It would be great to know why some people seem to move through the system much faster than others, even without the dreaded RFE.

Good luck with your process.

Thank for for updating your timeline. (My Assistant, then edit/add my timeline.)

The stats I gave above for NOA2 are for all K1's (last 100, focussing on CSC). There is also tremendous variability on NOA2 to Interview in Manila. The fastest quarter have their interview by day 56 (from NOA2), median is day 68 and 25% take 101 days or longer. (Sample is last 50.)

Hi, everyone.. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I need a little more help, our NOA2 got approved 19 days from our NOA1 date, and we are now waiting 30 days for our case#. While waiting i started sorting my papers in preparation for my interview. I just have some questions. .. I already have my CENOMAR dated 6/30/15, i am not sure if its still gonna be valid till interview, some says it is good for 6mos, other suggested to get a newer one. ..what do you guys think? Also, aside from Evidence of Support(I-134 form, form 1040, W-2), would there be anything original copy i would need from my fiance because he is suggesting to send me a copy of our packet so i could just use the photos, emails, etc.. .

Thanks again!

The I-134 needs a wet signature so that needs to be original. Sending the 129F packet (copy) to you would be fine as there are things in there you may want to use. Why don't you guys set up a FREE dropbox account and drop all your scanned documents there. That way you can print only the things you need and having access can be a godsend.

The only documents you will need for the interview are contained in the Embassy Letter. See my website for more details. Go to my website, link is down below at the twisting arrow and follow the steps. Don't wait 30 days before you start chasing your MNL#. You'll be wasting an entire month. Again, details are in the link.

NBI and CENOMAR can't be older then 6 months at time of interview, so if you interview takes place and you have 30 days remaining, then no problem.

NVC are taking so long nowadays to process the approved petition.. Some takes about 20-30 days before they can give your mcn.. But it is case to case basis. Atleast csc are quick to take actions, there are petitions that got approve as early as 15days from NOA1.. Ours got approved after 20days..

Great, so all i need from him is an original copy of his I-134, we already have the scanned copy of our packet in dropbox, he just wanted to print out other documents because the cost of him sending me the entire packet is no difference than a few pieces of paper(saves me time & money :joy:).

I checked your website, all information are there, really helpful! Thank you :star:

We will start calling NVC, once i got my papers done.. .My fiance and i are happy that our K1 application is moving faster than we thought, though i am not planning to leave Philippines until after New year, but the earlier we get my visa, the better.

Thanks again everyone! (L)(L)(L)
