I've looked around and used the search function but it doesn't seem like there is a thead for the August filers yet. So I figured I'd start the thread. (Mods, sorry if I overlooked an already existing August filers thread. Please merge it if another one already exists).

We've just sent out petition in via express mail and it should arrive there tomorrow. We're very excited!

I'm currently still in the states for about another month, so by then we hope to have our NOA1 and hopefully the news that our petition has been sent to the CSC.

Hi all,

We sent our I-129F from Australia on July 31st, which I'd say counts us as August filers. Anyone else joined the club yet? Feeling pretty positive here, I know the whole process felt very daunting at first but I'm feeling much more confident and relaxed now that we've got our head around everything and started the process! We're both in Australia right now, but my fiancée will be heading back to America in October and I'll follow once this visa stuff is sorted. Stay in touch and let's see how our applications go!

Two August 2015 threads have been merged.

VJ Moderation

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Our petition arrived today at 11am in Texas. Exciting stuff! Let's see when we will get our NOA1.

And ExtraTerrestrial, did your petition get there yet? I hope more August filers will join us soon in here.

Hi there!

My fiancé and I are very excited to start the whole process.

So we hired a lawyer since we are both busy with work. According to the scanned papers, our I-129F was sent on July 31, so I guess that makes us August filers, too! ?

We are yet to receive confirmation from the lawyer about our NOA 1 and hopefully we get it within the week. Wishing that we get routed to CSC, too, but we are really not very anxious on getting approved soon since I have lots to settle first before I join him in the U.S., such as quitting work and coming into terms that I will be leaving everything behind. ? But I'm ready. Anything to be with my baby.

We are just hoping for the process to go smooth. Good luck to us, August filers.

We've just received the email and text that our petition has been accepted and routed to the CSC! That seems pretty quick considering we only sent in the petition on Monday.

Now the waiting begins. But looking at everyone else's timeline recently we shouldn't be expecting a waiting time of more than 2 months MAX.

Also, hi Chica and Jayank. I hope you get your NOA 1 soon Chica.

Hi Everyone. We are sending our packet on Saturday (August 8, US Time)

Our documents were 2 months in the making to really make sure we have everything and avoid RFE. My Fiance was very surprised how much info and supporting papers are being asked. We are submitting over 100 pages of docs including photos. I have been researching on this for months so I really hope we got everything right the first time.

Good luck to us all :)

Regards,

E
