Quick Question About The Interview to avoid AP

My husband and I met online and became friends through facebook. We have not met each other before. Before we became friends on facebook he was already friends with my cousin and thats where he found me from. And as time went by we fell for each other and thats how we got into a relationship. And we didn't see each other in person until a few days before we actually got married when I flew to Bangladesh a few months after he moved from London. And my concern right now is that, during his interview, if we tell the embassy in Bangladesh that we met online, than we got married, would it put his case in a risk of AP.

Applicants from certain countries typically end up in AP for detailed background checks after an interview. It's common to meet online these days, which by itself is not grounds for AP. Just be straightforward at the interview IF asked; don't volunteer anything, be short and concise with any questions. You did a pretty good job explaining how you met, repeat the same at the interview if questioned.

Helps for the spouse to be at the interview, you should plan to be at the Dhaka embassy with your hubby if at all possible.

Btw, priority date is irrelevant in a IR/CR-1 visa case.
