Medical exam and pregnancy

Does anyone know for sure if the chest xray portion of the medical exam can be waived with a note from an OB-GYN for a Canadian? I was reading on here conflicting information about the requirements. I know the online guide says even pregnant women are not exempt but on another forum people were saying otherwise. Also, does anyone know if it's possible to have a chest xray done before the medical exam? If my wife had one done in the next few months, and we got pregnant after that, could we submit that xray and avoid having a chest xray at the exam while she's pregnant?

Says on the medical information specific to Canada to pregnant women are not exempt from the xray. Everyone aged over 12 must have the x-ray and that pregnant women will be provided with adequate protection. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if your wife have had an x-ray before because for the visa purpose, the x-ray and medical exam need to be conducted by someone licensed for it by the US state department.

X-ray must be done at the medical and not before. Sorry, but your wife must have an x-ray. She is not exempt. Since she is not pregnant yet, I suggest you hold off 'trying' in order not to hinder the visa or harm the baby during the medical
